Yes. Unclip one end and fold that side over — your dog steps into the footwell and up onto the seat the way he normally would. Fold the last side down, push the seat anchor in, and clip it to the headrest. About an extra minute.

Your dog can also see through the side windows, depending on their height and your vehicle’s window position. If your rear air vents sit very low on the center console, the cover may partially overlap them—but the mesh window still helps air circulate into the back.

We had to put it through everyday use and a vacation before this review. This is SO much better than just the car seat cover we had. Did it take a while to receive it? Yes. But this is not made or shipped by a multi billion dollar corporation so do not expect overnight delivery. We were prepared for that and ordered it well before our vacation. It holds up well to every day use. Either side easily folds to allow a passenger. The pictures don’t do it justice but two wet and sandy 70 lbs dogs after a few beach days put it to the test. I wasn’t sure it would be solid enough but it has held up well. A bit slippery for the older dog but a heck of a lot better the just a seat cover. They both can spread out and we don’t have to worry about them falling into the leg room gap.

This is the best and easiest dog cover. He didn’t like the center console divider.. and love that it has the option to no use it, simply by unzipping it. You have the option to use the boards in the underneath compartments. Very well thought of designs. Fits our Toyota Tundra truck perfectly

Took our girl for her first ride in her redefined back seat space and she loves it! Our Explorer has captain chairs and she always ended up on the floor. As a 45lb, 18 month old Bernadoodle the floor space was cramped, to say the least! In her Cozy Rider she was able to stretch out full length, sat up comfortably while looking out the windows, and pitifully pushed her snout up against the mesh divider until I unzipped one side of it. Like she can’t be separated from us by anything! The Cozy Rider itself is very well made, easy to set up, loved the Velcro opening for the seat belt leash! Only thing we did to make this great purchase even better, was add an additional support board in the middle section to compensate for the sag caused by the gap between the captain chairs. She did not like riding in the truck before. It a short cab and she was slipping all over the back. Short rides she would panic. Now she looks out the window. the whining has just about stopped as I have increased the distance. She likes it and so do I. She actually beats me to the truck now.

I haven't actually used the car cover yet. I was waiting to see if I had to return the part that was damaged in shipping. I will have to submit another review later.
